I did it!

I have been thinking and working towards Digital Scrapbooking for over a year. For my birthday back in August Ray got me a beautiful Printer that will print the 12X12 layouts and until today I have never used it.

I finished my first Digital layout and I am in love. It was so much fun to do and so easy. Walter did not get into my stuff and make a mess like he does when I am doing my traditional scrapbooking.

What a great day.

The Christmas Season
The last two day we have had about 8 inches of snow. So I have had the kids home from school for snow days. Kindra went outside to play in the snow and would not come in. She said "I have to stay it will be gone by tonight". I had to laugh, I told Kindra that it will stay for a few day come in a get warm.

This morning I thought it would be a good idea to get Christmas pictures of the kids. I have an amazing camera, but when the kids will not smile and sit, still the pictures still don't turn out good. I hope I can make something work. I have posted some of the crazy ones.

Hope everyone holiday season is going great.

What to do?

It has been a long and crazy 6 months. I did not take the time to stay caught up on my blog. At first I thought I would catch up. Then that thought was over whelming so I did not blog at all. At this point I think I am going to just start a new. The last 6 months have been full of fun and amazing memories, I have tons and tons of pictures some I am sure I will share. But I am going to just start with what is going on in my life now.

Walt's Words

Walter is communicating really good. I understand what he wants most of the time. There are a few words he says that I know what they mean, but I don't think he has the correct definition.
nanny = food
b = binky
bye = phone
mo mo = TV

I sure love being a mom and figuring these things out.

3 Days

In three day we will be packing the moving truck. We still have a lot to get done. Most of the packing is completed, but getting a house ready to rent is a lot of work. We hope to be driving to Reno at the end of the week to make it to Rays brother wedding on the 14th. Lot of changes and lots to do. Working one thing at a time.

Make A List
There are so many thing that I need to do, I have not wanted to write then down. I have been advised that is a bad idea. I was told that writing them down will relieve my stresses. On Saturday I did just that I started writing after about 10 pages of lists I almost started to cry. There is way to many things to do and not enough time.
The last two day have been a little better. I have started crossing things off. I guess that is what really helps not writing them down. I guess I will keep writing and crossing and most of all PRAYING! I am sure that at this point in my life there is only one set of footprints, I know I am not doing this alone.

My Little Piece of Heaven
I love having a little boy, but I sure wish he was a good sleeper. I am not sure what I did wrong, but Walt does not like to sleep. UNLESS he is in bed next to me or being held. I keep telling myself that this is a phase of life that I will miss some day. As I took this pictures I understand why I love the little man so much. He is my Little Piece of Heaven.

New Neighbors

We have some new neighbors that moved in about 1 month ago. It was watching them build their nest. During conference we watched the mother sit on her eggs. And now we are watching the mother and father feeding the baby birds. We only have a few more days until our new friends up and fly away. The nest is right outside my bedroom window so the girls climb up and look at the baby birds often. The parent have been named, but the 5 chicks are still being called the babies. The mother is called Bud and the Father is Rose. We were a little confused on the gender when the names were chosen. The birds are a house finch. The male has a red head and the female is all gray. I have only been able to get a picture of the nest and the babies. I have tired many time to capture the feeding, but my moment makes Bud fly away.

Easter 2009
We spent Easter in Fullerton this year with Grandma Linda & Grandpa Rick. We enjoyed their company and attending church with them. One of my favorite partsof the day was going to the Arboretum, I think it was the green grass and pretty flower.

Beautiful smiles!

This is what happends when you ask Walt to stop for a picture.

The girls are so beautiful!

The only picture I got with all the kids in the same shot.

Walt loves to go go go.

Where does the time go?

Sometime I wonder where the time goes. How is it possible that it is 2:30 (time to get Kindra from school). Have I had my shower yet? What is for dinner? Where is Walt, is that the sound of the water splashing? Walt loves the toilet. Is the homework done, the dog fed and do we have clean underwear? These thoughts seam to be running in my head all the time.

Life sure is passing quickly. Our time left in the Navy is now counted in weeks not months, and I can't seem to get anything done. I am not sure if it is the 3 child or just life, but time is going by so much faster these days. Sorry it has taken me so long to find the time to blog. I have so many pictures, but I will just started with Easter.

The First Day of the Rest of My Life

This is my new motto. I have had a really hard time getting any thing done lately. So on Monday I told myself that no matter what I was going to get a small list of things done. I guess it is only Wednesday but I feel much better about thing. "Take one thing at a time" that is what I tell myself all day long. "You can do it". I hope the positive thinking keeps working.

New Discovery

Walter has discoved Cars. He thinks they are great. He will crawl around pushing one for the longest time. He has even tried to push them up the walls.
It is so much fun having a little boy!

A Break

Last week Ray and I got a break from our lives. Thanks to my mom who watched the kids and a beautiful place. For the last 5 years we have taken this trip down Black Canyon. The Canyon is right below Hoover Dam. We got to have 5 day in the canyon this year, it was amazing. We were joined by some friends from Search and Rescue and Ray's brother and friend from Reno. It was an amazing trip that I did not want to end.

I took this picture out of the car window driving back in to Vegas. I love the colors in the sky.

The River!

I am so glad that Dave drove down from Reno for the adventure.

Ray enjoying his paddle.

The water on the river was not perdictable. 30 minutes earlier this boat was in the river.

We did a slot canyon on the side of the river. It was so much fun.

Phil going down the canyon.

Ray rappelling on the boat he placed.

Waterfall in Arizona hot springs.
Thanks again to my mom who made this trip possible.

Kindra's 9th Birthday

It is hard to believe that my little girl is 9 years old. I think it is only fitting that I share 9 things that are all about Kindra.

1. Kindra loves horses, any kind of a horse will make her smile. This last year she got to ride a horse all by herself.
2. Kindra has a beautiful voice and loves to sing.
3. Kindra's favorite toy is her American Girl horse Patriot.
4. Kindra loves her family. She is a big help with her little brother and sister. She can get her little sister to do almost anything.
5. Kindra enjoys being outside, camping, hiking, boating or just playing in the sand box.
6. Kindra has a sweet spirit and is always trying to do what is right.
7. Kindra favorite dinner is Salmon, pasta and carrots.
8. Kindra loves to go to school, her favorite subjects are math and science. She takes after her dad.
9. Kindra best friend is her dog Bubbles. They are so cute together. When she grows up she wants to be a vet.

Holiday Update
This past holiday season was not long enough. I love the spirit of Christmas and it is so easy to have it during the holiday season. It seams like you look forward to Christmas for months and then it is over so fast. Thank Heaven for pictures.
Our Christmas was a memorable one. We were at home with our little family and enjoyed it. I love being home for Christmas. About half way through opening present Kindra said she her tummy hirt. By 10:00 Audrey and Kindra both had the stomach flu. Thank goodness it was a short one because we needed to leave on the 26th for a family Christmas Party in Utah.
We spent time with both sides of the family. Audrey got her first good experience sledding and loved it. We did it with the Ruckman's and then had to show Caleb all about it as well.
We are looking forward to 2009 and the changes that will come.

Kindra and Walt on Christmas Eve. The PJ Walt is wearing have been worn by all 3 of my kids. Funny that they all wore the same size at Christmas.

Thanks Santa
The Girls were really excited about their peddle cars.
Kindra asked for Roller Blades... I guess she was a good girl.

Audrey got her own Camera, that takes really pictures. I will have to post some soon. She is running out of batteries so fast.

All Walter wanted for Christmas was a push toy, because he turn everything into one. The problem now is that he gets made when he runs into something. He can't figure out how to turn.

I Love Kindra face int he picture.

Audrey loved going down by her self.

In Cedar Audrey found a better way to come back up the hill.

Check out Logan he is not even touching Grandpa.

The jump team. Kindra and Caleb loved going down the hill together and catching "AIR".

Gingerbread house & a Walker

At school on Friday Kindra got to make a gingerbread house. It was so much fun to watch her a her classmates get creative. The houses all turned out perfect. Kindra is so proud of little house.

Last night I put Walt in his walker so he would not crawl into a mess on the floor. He did not like very much. Later he found the walker stood up next to it and discovered that if he pushed it it would move. He walked all over the house pushing his walker.
A new use for a walker.

Snow Day
"NO SCHOOL"

We I got a phone call at 6:30 am last Wednesday I was unsure what was up. No school my friend said it a snow day. At that time it was only raining in 29. I laughed a little and thought of going to school as kid is over a foot of fresh snow. I told the girls that I wanted to try to get some Christmas pictures in front of the tree (what fun we had). By 10:00 it was snowing, 1979 was the last time there was this much snow in 29. The whole town shut down. A total of 4 -6 inches of snow on the ground. I thought it was beautiful! The girls loved playing in the snow.

While the girls were outside playing in the snow I found Water on the kitchen floor eating dryout suger cookies I had just put int he trash can. He sure like them.
